We are looking for a DLP engineer/analyst for our client in Brussels.

Context :

You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data loss prevention strategies to protect our critical assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will assess risks, develop policies, and deploy cutting-edge technologies to safeguard sensitive information and mitigate potential threats.

Homeworking/onsite : 3 days/week on site – Mandatory

Description :
– Develop and implement a Data Leakage Prevention Strategy: including clear policies on data handling, transfer, and storage.
– Create a Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) policy consisting of guidelines and procedures that is necessary to prevent data leakage or unauthorized access.
A DLP policy consists of several components, including but not limited to:
o The various types of data that need to be protected;
o Procedures for accessing and sharing each type of data;
o The data security technologies and methodologies that will be employed, such as data access controls, encryption, and data monitoring;
o Measures to address compliance;
o A strategy for responding to a data security event, prescribing next steps to accelerate mitigation, and executing recovery efforts;
– Capture the necessary data leakage prevention requirements and is able to evaluate how to handle it alternatively.
– Write a Data leakage prevention plan and implement:
o Monitoring channels of data leakage: email and portable storage devices;
o Implement prevention measures, to act on to prevent information from leaking.
– Implement Data leakage prevention measures to systems, networks and any other devices to detect and prevent the unauthorized disclosure and extraction of information by individuals or systems.
– Create and support security/risk policies, standards and processes related to DLP.
– Create and maintain comprehensive documentation.
– Develop training materials for DLP systems and general security awareness and deliver DLP training to the teams.

Expected skills :
– Advanced knowledge in DLP best practices and policies. (e.g. SANs, ISACA, ISC2)- Must have
– Proven working experience in applying data leakage prevention principles, processes and tools – Must have
– Proven working experience in defining a DLP plan and its implementation – Must have
– Proven working experience with the tool Varonis – Must have

– Certification in VCDP – Should have
– Certification in the field of data leakage prevention – Should have

Languages :
– Fluent in French – Must have
– Fluent in Dutch – Must have
– Very good knowledge of English – Must have
