Located in Lille, Lyon, Nantes, Grenoble, and Brussels, Insitoo Freelances is an entity of Insitoo Group, specialized in Freelances sourcing and supplying.Since 2007, Insitoo Freelances has been a reference in IT thanks to its expertise, transparency, and proximity . We are looking for a DevOps engineer for our client in Brussels.b 

Tasks :
– Install, configure, and maintain Simpl-Open and EuroCloud PoC environments across multi-cluster Kubernetes setups (k3s, Rancher).

– Automate deployments using GitLab CI/CD pipelines and GitOps methodologies

– Integrate Terraform and Crossplane for infrastructure provisioning, secrets management (Vault/Open Bao), and service orchestration across multiple providers.

– Administer Linux (Red Hat / Ubuntu) environments supporting Simpl kubernetes nodes and services.

– Ensure security compliance with EU cybersecurity, GDPR, and data protection frameworks.

– Manage certificates, DNS, and connectivity for inter-cluster communication (http-01/dns-01 validation scenarios).

– Contribute to system observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK) and log aggregation across federated clusters.

– Collaborate with EuroCloud partners to test cross-border workload federation and interoperability.

– Support Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and assist in developing Infrastructure-as-Code templates.

– Document system architecture, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks for Simpl components.

Expected skills and experience :
– Proven experience with Kubernetes (preferably multi-cluster or hybrid setups) and Helm/Kustomize – Must have

– Strong GitOps knowledge with GitLab CI/CD or similar. – Must have

– Hands-on experience with Terraform, Crossplane, or similar IaC tools. – Must have

– Solid understanding of Linux administration (Ubuntu, RHEL, or derivatives) – Must have

– Familiarity with container security, RBAC, and network policies. – Must have

– Practical knowledge of PKI / certificate management and DNS automation – Must have

– Understanding of data protection, cybersecurity, and SLA-based service delivery – Must have
– Familiarity with Simpl-Open architecture or data space technologies (IDS, Gaia-X, DSSC). – Nice to have

– Experience with Crossplane compositions for dynamic service provisioning – Nice to have

– Knowledge of eIDAS, EUCS, or NIS2 security frameworks – Nice to have

– Exposure to FinOps practices or cost-optimisation in multi-cloud environments – Nice to have

– Experience contributing to open-source DevOps tools – Nice to have
