We are looking for a Linux Shell Scripting Engineer for our client in Brussels.

Context :

Full time position
2 to 3 days per week onsite – Brussels
Start date : mi April

Enddate : 31/12/2026 with possible extension

Seniority : Senior or Expert

Key responsibilities :

• Participating in the analysis, design, development, integration, test, and support of the products, solutions, services, and to the migration to new versions of the packages.

• Collaborate with the teams to deliver each sprint.

• Assist the Product Owner to adjust the business requirements into functional and technical requirements via Features and User Stories.

• Guaranteeing, with the members of the team, the implementation of the packages, maintenance, and future improvements.

• As a Linux/Unix expert, maintaining the system and frameworks including maintenance of scripts, tools, and Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) around the system.

• Other activities include the development of APIs in Java, Excel macros (for automation) and Windows administration (for prognosis client/server installation).

• In interaction with other IT teams, putting in place the links to other systems used as input/output of MTS, UPF and APIs

• Ensuring the 3rd line support to end-users

• Documenting the solutions

Expected skills and experience :

• At least 5 years of experience

• Experience in packages development and server configuration – Must have

• Linux/Unix (batch scripting, awk, …) – Senior – Must have

• Windows (excel VBA) – Must have

• Java – Must have

• Control-M (Unix and Windows) – Must have

• Agile methodology experience – Must have

• Knowledge of banking and payment products – Is an asset

• Experience in process analysis of payment requirements – Must have

Languages :

• English – Fluent – Must have

• Dutch or French – Good level – Is an asset
