We are looking for a project manager – data migration for our client in Brussels.  

Context :

We are seeking an experienced  Project Manager to lead the end-to-end migration of our Atlassian suite from Data Center on premise to Atlassian Cloud. This is a high-impact role that requires a strong blend of technical expertise, strategic planning, and change management capabilities. The ideal candidate has successfully delivered similar migrations, understands the intricacies of Atlassian’s ecosystem, and can guide both technical teams and business stakeholders through a smooth and value-driven transition.

This position is part-time, with a minimum commitment of 60%. However, we are open to a full-time candidate if they can be assigned to another internal project. This possibility will be evaluated during the interview process.

Telework/on-site : minimum 2 days / week onsite

Tasks and responsibilities :
– Lead the full lifecycle of the Atlassian Cloud migration project: from initial risk and feasibility analysis to successful go-live and post-migration support.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, DevOps, Security, and Business Units to ensure alignment and readiness.
– Conduct impact assessments and define mitigation strategies for technical and organizational risks.
– Define and manage project scope, timelines, resources, and budget.
– Coordinate data migration activities, including tool selection, test migrations, and validation.
– Drive stakeholder engagement and communication, ensuring transparency and buy-in at all levels.
– Oversee change management efforts, including training, documentation, and process adaptation to optimize Cloud usage.
– Identify and address common migration pitfalls and ensure best practices are followed.
– Promote project management activities through positive and constructive networks.
– Deploy and develop an active and consistent communication with different stakeholders.
– Conflict management (tech and non-tech).
– Facilitate the operational functionality of the project groups and other stakeholders.
– Define the roles and responsibilities of the project teams and other stakeholders.
– Follow-up on possible change and deliverables related feedback from the customer on continuous bases.
– People management & team coaching & training

Expected skills :
– Proven experience managing Atlassian Data Center on premise to Cloud migrations (Jira, Confluence, Add-ons).
– Deep understanding of Atlassian Cloud architecture, migration paths, and tooling (e.g., JCMA, CCMA, REST APIs).
– Familiarity with data governance, compliance, and security considerations in Cloud environments.
– Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies.
– Experience with stakeholder management, change enablement, and user adoption strategies.
– Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
– Ability to manage multiple workstreams and vendors in a complex environment.
– Atlassian certifications (e.g., ACP-120, ACP-620).
– Experience with enterprise-scale migrations and hybrid environments.
– Familiarity with IT processes such as IT service management (ITSM) or DevOps is a plus.
– Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Teams, Office

Expected languages :
– Native French and/or Dutch with a knowledge of the other language
