In order to respond to our client needs, we are looking for Senior Data Analyst (H/F), in Brussels (Belgium).

Data analyst responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and design of data solutions. Data analysts will gather requirements to develop data collection and integration capabilities. They will also setup performance and quality control plans to identify improvements.

Responsibilities

– Be an authority in his area of specialization
– Analyze and decompose complex requirements
– Perform gap analysis and recommend solutions
– Fulfill the role of a subject matter expert in requirement elicitation
– Profile and interpret data, analyze results using data management techniques and provide ongoing reports
– Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
– Work with data team to incorporate business requirements into models, data integration processes. Manage Meta Data.
– Create functional and technical specifications and prepare prototypes
– Develop strategies that optimize data usage efficiency and quality
– Validate the functionality of the end product according to the requirement specifications
– Prepare technical user manuals, system configuration documents and other technical reports
– Facilitate change and configuration management

Technical and functional skills required :

– 5+ years in related in Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst or related field.
– Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data profiling and data integration techniques
– Strong knowledge of and experience with databases (SQL etc), reporting packages (Business Objects etc) and data visualization packages (Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, …).
– Strong data management skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze data with attention to detail and accuracy
– Adept at queries, report writing and presenting finding
– Understanding of data architectural and design patterns.
– Ability to concisely document and express data requirements that can be readily understood and applied by both IT leadership and developers.
– Willingness to learn and experiment with technologies outside of his/her comfort area.
– Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of personnel individually and within teams. Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
