For one of our major customer in Brussels, in the insurance sector, we are looking for a senior developper to join a developement team.

The senior developer will be asked to :

– Give an estimate for the development based on the requirements received from the business
– Design effective technical solutions in collaboration with the functional designers.
– Develop applications using standard tools, based on the technical and functional analysis and following defined architecture, according to the standards enabling reuse of the code and improvement of the performance.  

– Ensure correct deployment in the different environments.
– Ensure the effectiveness & quality of the solution by executing the appropriate tests
– Maintain the quality of the technical patrimony and anticipate potential impacts of a new development on this patrimony.
– Identify & Solve issues detected in a technical implementation.
– Guarantee the long term overall quality of the application domain by systematically taking into account: stability, scalability, traceability, flexibility, maintainability, performance, …
– Follow the recommendation given after a code review
– Provide developer documentation

The following technical skills are required:

– Web applications, CSS, HTML5, Bootstrap, Entity Framework, JQuery, SSIS, Stored procedures.
– Databases are managed under SQL Server, and the factory developer must be able to develop back-end applications using state of the art practices. Code-first or DB first knowledge should be mastered, as well as Entity Framework.
