Our client, located in Brussels and easily reachable in public transports, is currently looking for a Freelance Senior Enterprise Architect (H/F) to reinforce their teams.

Our client in Brussels is looking for a pragmatic and practical enterprise architect with an affinity for enterprise architecture, who gives an overview of the architecture at the organizational level, monitors and develops it. You will work in collaboration with the existing architects and the head of the IT department to which you also report.

As an Enterprise Architect, you are responsible for translating the objectives into the design of the organisation, processes and information provision. You describe the most important choices that need to be made in the form of (architectural) principles, guidelines and models. You give an overview of the consistency of information, processes and applications so that change initiatives are selected and implemented responsibly.

In addition, you take into account other initiatives within different agencies and departments, different authorities and make sure that the programme can fit in with them.

Your main tasks will be:

– Analyzing complex issues in context, from the perspectives of various stakeholders
– Establishing, aligning and safeguarding architectural principles, standards, models and guidelines
– Implementation and maintenance of domain architectures (e.g. enterprise, information, application and governance)
– Translate functional wishes into migration plans and other ICT solutions, for example
– Launch, manage and evaluate architecture tools at client sites
– Development and elaboration of various business scenarios and related proposals to address them
– Provide architectural advice at the tactical, strategic and operational level
– Combining conflicting requirements and functions by means of ingenious (technical) solutions
– Create and update enterprise architecture documentation
– Develop a strategy and vision for cloud computing solutions such as IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service) and SaaS (Software as a Service).
– Examine the plans, drawings, realizations and architectures of colleagues

Profile

– Higher education (Master of Bachelor) with a technical/engineering or business economics background.
– Communication skills and experience in teamwork and project-oriented work.
– Knowledge of business processes in general
– At least 5 years experience in general business management with application in the field of ICT.
– Strong orientation towards communication and analysis.
– Strong capacity for abstraction
– Architectural skills and experience
– Enterprise architect or architect specialized in a specific domain (network, security, server infrastructure, application architecture, ERP, ECM platforms, Datawarehouse and BI, …). WITH CERTIFICATION.
– Language requirement: Dutch at CEFR level C2.
– Thorough knowledge of all domains, plus a confirmed specialist architect in at least one domain (see requirements).
– MS Knowledge Office packages
– Knowledge of the different facets of project management (costs, scheduling, coordination, planning, estimates)
– In-depth knowledge of commercial engineering ;
– Ability to propose commercial solutions that are a good interaction between commercial and technological knowledge.
